materials and energy costs.
Ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate are chemical intermediates used in a wide range of applications in the lubricants, foundry, polyurethane and coatings industries. As a leading
manufacturer of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate, BASF operates a world-scale plant for these products at its Verbund site in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
